Foundation Entry Requirements
- Foundation Years are available to students who don’t meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.
- Students who have a good level of English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) will be considered for our Faculty Foundation Years.
- An overall average between 50% – 64% (Bhutan Education Board) in the 12th Standard
Undergraduate Entry Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- An overall average of 65% or above obtained in the 12th Standard (HSEC)
- An overall average of 55% or above obtained from the 2 year Diploma at The Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC), formerly known as Royal Bhutanese Polytechnic
Undergraduate Advanced
- Advanced entry to certain undergraduate degree programmes may be possible for students who hold a UK HND or Indian Diploma in a relevant subject – refer to the Faculty for consideration Postgraduate Entry Requirements
Postgraduate Entry Requirements
- Students who have completed a 4 year degree and obtained 60% in a recognised undergraduate degree can be considered for entry
- Students who have completed a 3 year degree and obtained 60% in a recognised undergraduate degree can be considered for:
- 1. MSc Management
- 2. MSc Engineering Management
- 3. MSc International Business and Enterprise
English Entry Requirements
- 65% or higher in the HSEC (12th standard) English subject
- IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each band or equivalent (some courses require higher IELTS – please refer to relevant course page on website)
- PTE 50 overall with no less than 42 in each module
- GCSE English (O’Level) with minimum C grade
